Shades of blue
The third CD of the Fusebusters is out now. Maybe the best one but for sure the final one with Ron de Beus on vocals. He has left the band. As you can see we have recorded twelve songs.
Six of them include guest-musicians. As before “Ome” Jan de Ligt on saxophone and John “Ziggy” Vos on Hammond. Quite an experience. We have learnt a lot during the week. It was the very first time we used a completely digital studio. Klank has implemented ProTools. At first we were a little skeptical. Analogue has this purity and warmth (we thought), but it soon became clear that digital can be warm and beautiful as well.
Impressed? Well… pretty much, actually! This time we opted for playing in the base (drums, bass and guitar) first. After that, separately, saxophone, Hammond, rhythm guitar, solo guitar and vocals. At some bases we could record the solo in one time too. So if you want to order one, be quick. We don’t have a lot Shades Of Blue. This will become a collectors item. And the price is right. €10,- ex shipping costs.
