(June 2007) The Fusebusters have stopped to perform. The band broke up but Paul, Peter and Frank are continuing with another project. They are going to form a Soul/Bluesband.
(May 14) The date is set. On June 20th the Fusebusters will play a gig at Radio Capelle. It will be aired live from 20:00 hr till 22:00 hrs
(May 10) It was a pleasant relaxed experience, with good people. We have also been asked to play live on the radio in June, the dates are not yet set, keep an eye on the news section for the exact date.
(May 1th) On the 9th of May we were invited to promote our new demo on Radio Capelle. The weekly program from 21:00 to 22:00 is called RE-discovering the blues. You can listen to it live through their site or on the cable. If you missed it on the 9th it will also be played on Saturday the 13th at the same time.
(Oct. ’05) We have decided to return to the studio for a new demo, we have several new numbers that we are excited to record and since John has left the band we have taken a back to the roots approach, which has resulted in a more raw bluesy sound. Of course the icing on the cake is that Kevin has become a fanatical harmonica player, we will have to wait and see if he will make his debut on the new demo!!!
The Fusebusters have decided to continue as a quartet and are working hard on the set list (several numbers were in the set list because of the Hammond sound, which we have decided to remove which gives the opportunity to bring in our new numbers)
(Sept '05) John has decided to leave the band for personal reasons
If you can read Dutch you can read a good review on PopPunt. It's a review from the gig we did in Rotterdam (dec. 11th, '04)
There is a new song on our music page! Download and enjoy this swingin' blues called Gone Too Far
The interview was great fun. It was all laughs and jokes but also time for serious questions about the band. We had the feeling that we could explain what the Fusebusters are all about. A big 'thank you' to Nico Bravenboer for his hospitality. In the near future Nico will put a photo on his website.
So it's Thursday night the 30th and you don't know what to do with yourself? Well go get a wine, beer or what ever and listen to the Fusebusters getting interviewed on Radio Ridderkerk at 8:00pm at 105.7 FM or cable 107.1 FM

Hey Frank, it's Mark from Florida. Sorry I have not been able to get back to you quickly. I have some bad news. I am having trouble drumming up any excitement about bringing the band over for a Florida tour. The bars here in South Florida are now experiencing some hard times as is the American Blues industry in general. Apparently, the only bar who is interested right now is the Bamboo Room in Lake Worth. Pete Blewzzman Lauro got that one lined up. Anyway, I am copying him on this EMAIL to see if he has gotten any further interests. I hope we have not disappointed you. I will keep bringing the name up to see if we could do something for you guys in the future.
A few photo's have been added.
For all you visitors the Fusebusters added a 'last update' to the main page of the site. When you visit us you can see immediately if their is news. This news can be new gigs, photo's added or other things. Although we would like you to browse thru our site you won't have to anymore.....At your service, thank you!
Our homepage has been updated. Today we launched the new layout of the site. It is our plan to keep you posted with news, stories and pictures. We are also working on some background music. We hope you will enjoy the website. If you do, please say so by signing our Guestbook
Finally, it has been decided! The Fusebusters are going back to the Klankstudio to record their 3de CD! Somewhere in the spring we are going to that little friendly town of Tegelen. At least one week we will stay there and work on the new CD. This time we will add another instrument to our musical pallet. Next to 'Ome' Jan de Ligt, we will bring along Johnny V. on Hammond. His playing is wonderful. We will gladly make use of two such good musicians!
This month (feb,03) a year ago, Back To The Roots wrote a review about On The Double! We had the article copied, scanned and added to the Dutch news section. Today we can proudly, though a little late, announce the translation.
Fusebusters: On The Double!

Dutch band Fusebusters on their second CD prove that they are not a blues band in the narrowest sense of the word. Just like Ronnie Earl and Duke Robillard, of whom they cover one respectively two songs, they self-assuredly look over the fence that separates blues from jazz. Obviously their own compositions comfortably revolve in this twilight zone. And this is not used entirely pejoratively. Just listen to the track “I wish”, which is skilfully built up. The result is an enjoyable disc, which, by attracting tenor-saxophone player “Uncle/Ome” Jan de Ligt, has gained a great deal of maturity. The “pub-crawling”-blues fan , devoted to three cords and twelve bars, will not see it as fodder to the ears, but for me “On The Double” is the password that will render access to the somewhat larger blues stages.

The FUSEBUSTERS have been selected as Featured Artist of the week in the Blues genre. The feature will be up from 4 Feb. 2000 to the 10th of Feb. 2000.
The year 2000. A new millennium. A time to keep the blues alive. This is what the Fusebusters will uphold for the rest of this century. The band wants to keep on playing their own style and diversity.
It has been decided that they will make a second CD. It will be released in February 2001.
The FUSEBUSTERS took 2nd place on Sunday in the L'Esprit Bluesconcours 1999. Official result: 4) Hi Temperature 3) Blues LP 2) Fusebusters 1) Texan Tail
First of all...the FUSEBUSTERS play in the L'ESPRIT BLUESCONCOURS 1999 finals!! On Sunday the 30th of May the FUSEBUSTERS try to get a better then 4th place position. It's all very exiting! Let me tell you a little bit about this Bluesconcours. L'Esprit is a blues club in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Many blues band has seen the inside of this former football cantina. Both national as international acts are performing there. They started with this Bluesconcours. 36 bands from the Netherlands send in there demo's, tapes and CD's. Twelve of them were selected by an independent (really?) jury.
On 4 Saturdays 3 bands battled each 45 minutes for a place in the finals. The FUSEBUSTERS battled against The Parish and The Kings of Cool. The other 3 winners of the qualifying are BLUES LP, HI TEMPERATURE and Texan Tail (got to check if they have links somewhere). All qualifying were judged by, again independent and each time different jury's. So now it's all or nothing. The winner get's a CD recording! That would be something because the FUSEBUSTERS just made a CD. But let us not talk about something which is only 25% certain. I'll keep you informed.
