On the double
What a disappointed, to arrive in Tegelen on a Sunday night in the Klankstudio, to unload our gear, unroll our sleeping bags, to order a shoarma, to finally sitting down and then have to discover that there's only half a crate of beer left in the studio.........what a bad start to the recording session of our second CD.
On Monday we started the recording together with our guest Ome Jan de Ligt on tenor saxophone.......and the familiar face of Gert-Jan behind the thousands of little buttons and knobs....
The recording session went so well that the next day we send Ome Jan back home by train after he played his parts on a inimitable way. On Wednesday we temporarily stopped the recording to go to the local swimming pool to have a swim and a shower !!What a shower ?? Yes a shower, this because after 3 days of playing ourselves into a perspiration (sweat) some of us (no names named because of privacy reasons) had a odour which had very little to do with the sweet scent of flowers......
On Thursday we finished the recordings and went back home to pick up our "normal" lives.........."shit" After a few weeks Peter and Ron went back to mix and produce the recordings together with Gert Jan van Avezaath, and THIS is the result "ON THE DOUBLE"
